Shooting Ground Rules and Terms & Conditions
All persons must sign-in before shooting
If you have a licence, please bring this with you
All shooters & spectators must wear hats, eye & ear protection
No cartridge greater than 28g load and greater than UK no.6.5. should be used. Fibre wad only
All guns to be carried to and from shooting stands in an unloaded condition
Semi autos may only be shot with a maximum of 2 cartridges and must be carried to and from stands with an ‘auto-safe’ flag
No shooting is allowed other than from a designated firing point
Shooting or attempted shooting of live quarry is not permitted at any time
No person should alter, attempt to alter or refill a trap
Please place empty cartridges and associated rubbish in the bins provided
Please do not leave the paths at any time
Please respect other shooters and the shooting ground
All guns loaded and unloaded need to be facing into the shooting position
Member benefits will only be allocated to current Members. Guests are exempt from discounts.
Licence holders are entitled to 2 non-licence holding guests shooting with them at any time and on signing this document accept full responsibility of all guest actions on the ground
On sighting any concerning behaviour please report this to a member of staff immediately
Atkin Grant & Lang are entitled to monitor and safety check shooters at any time whilst they are on the ground. The right is reserved to request any shooter to leave the ground at our discretion
Dogs are welcome at the Shooting Ground, but must be on a lead at all times, please also ensure you clean up after them.
I the undersigned understand that:
• All Activities, Events and Competitions (the Events) undertaken at Atkin Grant and Lang Ltd (AGL) can be dangerous if not carried out in accordance with the stated Rules, Policies and Instructions as explained by any AGL Staff/Agents, are not followed, copies of theses stated rules and Policies are available to read by contacting AGL
• If in the opinion of any AGL staff/Agents I am behaving in a manner that may result in injury to myself/and or others, or in danger to myself/and or others and or damage to property, then I will be stopped from taking part in any further activity and asked to leave the Grounds
I confirm that:
• I am physically fit and mentally able to take the strain and exertion involved with the relevant event
• I am fully conversant with the risk to myself and others involved in Events at AGL
• I will not deliberately or otherwise break any of the Ground Rules
• I have not imbibed Alcohol or taken any prescribed or illicit medication/drugs or plan to do so during an Event; any substance that may impair my judgement or ability to partake in the Event putting myself or others at risk
• I will comply and follow all AGL Rules and Policies and conform willingly to any Instruction/direction by AGL Staff/Agents, and will use any equipment as instructed.
Liability
• I hereby waive, release and forever discharge, any and all rights and /or claims which I or my Heirs, Executors and/ or Legal Representatives may have or may have in the future against Atkin Grant and Lang Ltd, its Staff, Agents or Representatives, for all and any damages, injuries (including death) and /or claims which may arise directly or indirectly from participation in an Event or attendance at the Ground
• Nothing in this Disclaimer shall be construed as excluding or limiting AGL’s liability for personal injury or death arising from its negligence or the negligence of the persons under its control
Photography
• I hereby give permission for me and any dependents in my care attending and or being instructed at an Event to be photographed whilst on the Ground or under Instruction so they may have a record of their achievements and for possible promotional purposes by AGL - By signing this Disclaimer you indicate compliance and agreement
Physical Contact
• Be aware that physical contact by an Instructor with the Arm and Shoulder area of a guest maybe necessary in the provision of Shooting Coaching, the Instructor will initially ask permission to touch before doing so.
DECLARATION UNDER SEC. 21 OF THE FIREARMS ACT 1968:
• It is an offence for a person who is prohibited by Section 21of the Firearms Act 1968 to have a firearm or ammunition in his/her possession at any time
• This Section of the Act applies to any person who has been sentenced to imprisonment or to Youth Custody or detention in any Young Offenders Institution for three months or more
• A person sentenced for any period between three months and three years is prohibited for 5 years from the date of release
• A person sentenced to three years or more is prohibited for life
• It is an offence for a person to transfer, let, hire or lend a firearm or ammunition to someone whom he knows or has reasonable grounds to suspect that he/she is a prohibited person
DECLARATION OF CONSENT
• I will sign the ‘Booking in Sheet’ upon arrival to show that I have read, understood and agree to all the above conditions and agree that any children in my care can be coached at this Event. I also accept responsibility for their actions and my own during the day/Event
• I hereby declare and confirm that I have never had a firearm or shotgun application refused or such certificate revoked. I also declare/confirm that I am not a person prohibited by Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968
